Yet more and more news aggregators such as RealClearPolitics are being used to quickly survey a wider swath of news and viewpoints. And when considering that the internet is becoming the major source of news in America, I don’t think the New York Times has anything near a monopoly on American readership. However, with respect to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, unless on looks past mainstream sources of news, one might indeed be hard pressed to find contrasting opinions. Zbigniew Brzezinski had once chastised the host of “Morning Joe” for offering a “stunningly superficial” take, informed primarily by the WP and NYT, on recent developments between Isreal and Palestine. “Stunningly superficial” is the norm however. Indeed, the fresh and criticial perspective the author has offered here is a welcome contribution to a debate that should be happening, but by and large isn’t.
