There are the funny, but sad ones like the 34 warships, etc, but they fleet through the population and lose steam over time. For example, I don’t think most people are worrying about death panels anymore. What’s worrying me more are issues that make up the republican platform and are creating absolute gridlock in Washington or worse. Republicans believe as absolute fact that tax cuts for the rich don’t add to the deficit. They say with absolute conviction that the stimulus did not add or create a single job. They say that unemployment is high because business owners are worried about their taxes going up. I learned about supply and demand in a high school economics class. I wonder how it is possible to pretend that basic economic facts just aren’t so.
